Sa‘īd ibn al-Mūsayyib reported on the authority of his father, al-Mūsayyib ibn Hadhān (may Allah be pleased with him), that when Abu Tālib was about to die, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) came to him and found Abdullāh ibn Abu Umayyah and Abu Jahl with him. He said to him: "O uncle, say that there is no god but Allah, as it is a word with which I can can defend you before Allah." Abdullāh ibn Abu Umayyah and Abu Jahl said to him: "Would you abandon the religion of ‘Abdul-Muttalib?" The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) repeated his request and they also repeated their words to him. The last thing he said was that he would die on the religion of Abdul-Muttalib, refusing to say that there is no god but Allah. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, I shall continue seeking forgiveness for you unless I am forbidden from doing so." So Allah revealed: {It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire} [Sūrat At-Tawbah: 113]. Allah also revealed regarding Abu Tālib: {Indeed, you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.} [Sūrat al-Qasas: 56]
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) visited Abu Tālib when he was in the throes of death and offered him to embrace Islam, hoping his life would end with something that causes him to attain success and happiness in the Hereafter. He requested him to utter the word of monotheism. Yet, the polytheists encouraged him to remain upon the religion of his forefathers, which was polytheism, as they knew that the word of monotheism negates polytheism and indicates sincere worship of Allah alone. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) requested his uncle again to utter the testimony of faith; but, the polytheists repeated their opposite request, and they became the reason for diverting him from the truth and subsequently dying upon polytheism. At that moment, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) swore that he would continue seeking forgiveness of Allah for him, as long as he was not prohibited from doing so. So, Allah revealed the prohibition of doing that and clarified for him that guidance is in the Hand of Allah who blesses whomever He wishes with it. This because Allah knows whom guidance is suitable for and whom it is not. Allah, the Almighty, revealed: {It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire} [Sūrat At-Tawbah: 113] Allah also revealed regarding Abu Tālib: {Indeed, you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.} [Sūrat al-Qasas: 56]

Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he had divorced his wife while she was menstruating, and this happened during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about that, so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Order him to take her back and keep her till she is clean, and then wait till she gets her next menstruation period and becomes clean again. Thereupon, if he wishes to keep her, he can do so, and if he wishes to divorce her, he can divorce her before having sexual intercourse with her. That is the prescribed waiting period that Allah has fixed for the women meant to be divorced."
This Hadīth shows that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) divorced his wife, who was called Āminah bint Ghifār, during her menstruation period. Therefore, his father, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to tell him about that and seek his opinion. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) told ‘Umar to order his son ‘Abdullāh to restore his wife to wedlock, because divorcing the wife during her menses is a Bid‘ah-based divorce. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) commanded him to restore his divorced wife in this case so that her waiting period would not be long, for this menstrual cycle in which she was divorced would not count among the three cycles whereby the waiting period is terminated. Then ‘Abdullāh had to keep his wife until she would attain purity from her menses, have another menses, and another period of purity. Thereafter, if he wishes, he may keep her as his wife. Otherwise, he may divorce her without having sexual intercourse after she has become clean. Divorce that is done when the woman is pure from menses, and without having had sexual intercourse with her (since her menses), is the kind of divorce that Allah has prescribed so that a woman commences her waiting period upon divorce. Allah says: {When you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period.} [Sūrat At-Talāq: 1]

Shall I guide you to a better seed?
Abu Hurairah, may Allah bless him, narrates, “The Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him - passed by me while I was planting a seed, and he said, “O Abu Hurairah, what are you planting?” I said “I am planting a seed for myself”. He said, “Shall I guide you to a seed that is better for you than this one?” I said “yes, Messenger of Allah.” He said, “say: Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, and there is no God but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. For each one of them, Allah plants a tree for you in Paradise.”
Narrator: Abu Hurairah – Al-Hadith: Al-Albani – Source: Sahih Ibn Majah - Page or number: 3084 - Summary of the Hadith ruling: Sahih. Pearls.
Explanation
Allah, may He be glorified, has preferred His servants with matters of words and remembrances for which He has given a great reward from His virtue and generosity. And among them is what was mentioned in this hadith, where Abu Huraira, may Allah bless him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, passed by him while he was planting a seed. And the act of planting is applicable for both trees and other plants, so the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “O Abu Huraira, what is it that you are planting?” That is, for whom is this planted? Abu Huraira, may Allah bless him said: “I am planting it for myself,” meaning: This is a seed I am planting for the sake of benefiting from it. So, the prophet, peace be upon him, asked him “Shall I guide you to a better seed?” meaning a work that will benefit you in the hereafter.
Abu Huraira, may Allah bless him said: “Blessed, O Messenger of Allah,” meaning: Guide and teach me, O Messenger of Allah. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Say: Glory be to Allah; and its meaning is acknowledging Allah’s complete transcendence from every deficiency, and describing Him with complete perfection that befits His majesty. And say: Praise be to Allah; and its meaning is to acknowledge that Allah alone is worthy of the meanings of giving thanks and praise. And Say: There is no God but Allah; and it is the pure word of monotheism, which means that there is no true worship but that of Allah, and that He alone is worthy of worship, and it is the greatest word, and only the one who fulfills this word sincerely from his heart is the one will be saved from hellfire. And say: Allah is the greatest, and it has the meaning of greatness for Allah and that He is higher and greater than everything. Therefore, whoever mentions those four words increases the number of his trees in Paradise until he has many orchards. These words include praise, monotheism, and glorification of Allah Almighty. Thus, they gather the greatest attributes of Allah and His greatest names.

And in this Hadith there is an explanation of the merit of remembering Allah with these words, and that their reward remains in the hereafter

An-Nawwās ibn Sam‘an reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “On the Day of Resurrection, the Qur'an and its people who acted upon it in the life of this world will be brought forth, preceded by Sūrat al-Baqarah and Sūrat Āl-‘Imrān, arguing on behalf of those who were committed to them.” Sahih/Authentic. - [Muslim]
An-Nawwās ibn Sam‘an reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, the Qur'an and its people who acted upon it will be brought forth, preceded by Sūrat al-Baqarah and Sūrat Āl-‘Imrān, arguing on behalf of those who were committed to them.” the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) restricted the benefit in this Hadīth, reciting the Qur'an to acting upon it because those who read the Qur'an are of two kinds: the first are those who do not implement it nor believe in its statements and descriptions nor apply the rulings contained therein. On the Day of Judgment, the Qur'an that they recited will argue against them (because they read it yet did not believe it or act upon it). The second kind are those who believe in its statements and descriptions and apply the rulings it contains. Those are whom the Qur'an will argue for them and on their behalf on the Day of Judgment. This Hadīth is a manifest proof that the most important thing regarding the Qur'an is to act upon it. This is supported by the statement of Allah, the Almighty: {It is a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded} [Sūrah Sād: 29]. To “reflect upon its verses” means to understand their meanings; and “that those of understanding would be reminded” means that they implement those verses. Reflection preceded implementation in the verse because one cannot act upon a verse if he does not understand its meaning. Reflection leads to the acquisition of knowledge, and implementation is a consequence and fruit of the knowledge. The purpose of the revelation of the Qur'an is that Muslims recite it, act upon it, believe in all its statements and descriptions, implement its rulings, act upon its commands, and avoid its prohibitions. If he does all of this (sincerely), then on the Day of Judgment, the Qur'an will argue on his behalf.

Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he proceeded in the Prophet's company towards Najd to participate in a battle. When the Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) returned, he too returned with him. Midday came upon them while they were in a valley having many thorny trees. The Prophet and the people dismounted and dispersed to rest in the shade of the trees. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) rested under a tree and hung his sword on it. We all took a nap and suddenly we heard the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) calling us. (We woke up) to see a Bedouin with him. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This Bedouin took out my sword while I was sleeping and when I woke up, I found the unsheathed sword in his hand and he challenged me saying: 'Who will save you from me?' I said thrice: 'Allah.'" The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not punish him but sat down. In another narration: The sword fell from the disbeliever's hand, whereupon the Prophet took it and said: "And who can protect you if I want to kill you?" The man replied: "Return evil with good." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I am the Messenger of Allah?" He replied in the negative, but pledged not to fight the Prophet again or join people who fight him. So, the Prophet released him, and he came back to his companions and said: "I have just been with the most excellent among people." Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) relates in this Hadīth that he joined the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle, known among biographers as Dhāt Ar-Riqā‘. On their way back, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stopped at a place abounding with thorny trees, as the people dispersed, looking for shady places to protect them from the heat. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stayed under a shady tree called Samrah. He hung his sword upon it and slept, and everybody did sleep as well. A Bedouin belonging the people the Prophet fought in this battle sneaked into their place, unnoticed. He took the Prophet's sword stealthily, causing him to wake up. Wielding the sword, the Bedouin felt strong against the Prophet and so he began to challenge him, saying: "Who can protect you if I want to kill you?" To this, the Prophet replied: 'Allah', saying it thrice. He said it with certitude and trust in Allah and firm belief in His promise. The sword fell from the disbeliever's hand, whereupon the Prophet took it and said: "And who can protect you if I want to kill you?" The man replied: "Return evil with good." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I am the Messenger of Allah?" He replied in the negative, but pledged not to fight the Prophet again or join people who fight him. So, the Prophet released him, and he came back to his companions and said: "I have just been with the most excellent among people." What this disbeliever said is true. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) is the noblest in manners among all people, and sufficient as praise of him is the verse that reads: (And indeed, you are of a great moral character.) » Authentique. - Rapporté par Al-Bukhârî et Muslim.

)Coran : 68/8
